Get your diver connected to your lure fast—and spend more time trolling for walleye.
Fishing Addiction Gear Diver Leaders are hand-tied, ready-to-use leaders designed specifically for anglers running diving systems to get their lures down into the walleye strike zone. Whether you're running a Dipsy Diver, Tadpole Diver, Tru-Trip, Jet Diver, or similar trolling setup, these leaders eliminate the hassle of tying your own leader when you're trying to get lines back in the water.
Each Diver Leader is built with 20 lb Seaguar fluorocarbon, a Size #2 Pro-Spin Ball Bearing Snap Swivel on one end, and a Size #2 Pro-Lock Duolock Snap on the other. The extra snap on the swivel end is the key difference between these and a standard trolling leader—it lets you quickly clip the leader directly to a diver rather than tying or rebuilding your connection.
Fishing Addiction Gear doesn't simply tie these leaders and throw them in a package. Every leader is hand-tied by the team in Ohio, with knots checked for slip and strength and each finished leader inspected before packaging. The company also uses premium components throughout the leader and says its diver leaders were tested by its Pro-Staff before being released for sale.
You can choose the length that best fits your trolling presentation: 36", 48", 60", 72", 84", or 96". Fishing Addiction Gear notes that leader length is largely a matter of preference, although many anglers favor shorter 36"–48" leaders because they're easier to manage and net fish with. Leaders should also generally not be longer than the rod you're using.
These leaders aren't limited to one specific diver. Fishing Addiction Gear uses them with Dipsy Divers, bottom bouncers, Tadpoles, Tru-Trip Divers, Jet Divers, and other walleye trolling systems. They're also an excellent match for spoons, shallow-diving crankbaits, and worm harnesses.
For Southeast Wisconsin anglers trolling for walleye, a few pre-tied Diver Leaders in the boat can be the difference between spending your time fishing and spending it tying knots. Keep different lengths on hand and you'll be ready to adapt your spread as conditions change.
